A fairly simple level - but creeper flows very quickly! Establishing a base is not straightforward, so be prepared to repeatedly sink command centres into creeper and juggle buildings around.
thanks for making this map, but i suggest you make the first map of a new mechanic/code a bit more forgiving at the start, if you want to engage a larger group of players.
this map is 100% beatable, but i am 100% not going to do that, it will take far too long, there is way too much simple luck involved in how this map advances, and it is not a map that rewards tactical attacks, just one that requires a lucky turn of the way the creeper flows.
if a map is over 50% luck i don't play them, since that is not what i play creeper world for.
if you wanted to minimise luck in this map without changing too much i would suggest you let the have space to player build two units on that start area "mountain".
cheers, please make more maps. 8)
There's no luck involved.
Also, I liked this map.
Yanno, I see what Tek was saying earlier... This isn't an easy map nor is it a short one. And while it doesn't really require luck, it does require micromanagement. And generally I'm not too fond of that but once you get the second block of level 8 terrain, there's a lot less pausing.
So overall, I think I liked this map more than I disliked it. There's a decent challenge at the beginning but it's basically just a matter of time and wearing the creeper down. I love a good war of attrition! ;)
The spores are almost irrelevant. They have a very small payload and only come every 75 seconds or so. Plenty of time to chop the creeper down before you move your weapons away.
If you're stuck...
Spoiler
The first key is getting one extra block of level 8 terrain. To do that, I simply built four mortars, one at a time then attacked with them all at once after building a terp. Maybe that'll help.
Thanks for the map! ;D
