Basic large scale battle on a checkerboard.
Lovely map.
Pity about the way it absolutely shreds my OCD and stomps on the bits.
The large squares are not a multiple of 3, or better yet a multiple of 9 in size.
Thus, it becomes impossible to build a nice, symmetrical army using large area drags & selects.
This greatly adds to the micromanagement required for what is, after all, a very straightforward slog.
It adds NO enjoyment, playability or even difficulty of its own, *all* it contributes is frustration.
It's not as if there is any shortage of area to build on, so this spacing is not a deliberate choice to increase difficulty or require planning.
It merely sux.
