A mission I mainly made to practice CRPL, but decided to make part 1 of a series that I have no future plans for. I'm literally just gonna wing it and it might be awful :p, so if I get rating bombed I honestly wouldn't be surprised. Eh, at least making these CRPLs was fun. Also, Huge thanks to the lads on the Knuckle Cracker discord that helped me with some of my first CRPL issues. Be warned this mission has a challenging start and an odd win condition. Absolutely no vanilla enemies; only CRPL.
Note that the opening text in the map does not show when you load in; in order to view it you have to go to the Orbital tab and click "Archived Transmissions".
Just has to tell you this map was awesome! Thank you :)
How do you survive the start?
Here's how I did it:
- Build only siphon
- When siphon is about to complete, build only collectors and 4 mortars (see attached image)
- When out of space to expand to, build reactors and more defense when you can afford it. Remember that cannons are only good against low amounts of creeper, while mortars are only good against deep amounts. You will slowly lose more land at first, but if you rush good enough you will eventually reach a point where you can survive indefinetely
- When you reach said point, build more economy and a few more weapons, maybe also a forge, and begin to expand south west
- After you secure the ore mine and the south west corner, build a bunch of strafers (i didn't use bombers but they should help a lot so there's an opportunity to get better time) and get ready to start powering the obstructor inlets (They require a LOT of energy to satisfy, so make sure you economy rush first before this)
- When the creeper near the eastern inlet is removed by strafers and/or bombers, send in at least 5 guppies to hold it and start powering both inlets
- Defend everything until the creeper emitted by outlets calms down a little
- Satisfy flip emitter win conditions and done

As a clarification: On "first load", the opening text will play for everyone - once. After that the map remembers that it had been opened and stores the text in the Orbitals build tab under "Archived Transmissions".
So it only works once per player and then never again, even after game restart.
Didn't actually know that, thanks for the clear explanation.
Fun way to wake up in the morning.
Thanks!
