Yes. Bad rating system of KC when possible rate map without playing!
Very sad fact! No motivation to create new maps...

I started, then quit immediately.
Now that I've rated it, I'll go play it.

I played it, I finished it, I rated it a 1. I didn't like the map, But of course since I gave it a less then desirable rating I must not have finished the map and of course I am a bad person because I didn't rate it better.
At least that is the take away from the comments here. So more people that rate a map poorly tend not to comment.
Most of the time when a map gets a poor rating or a comment on why the map is not good, The creator instead of saying thank you and I will take that under advisement, makes comments about how unfair that rating system is and how if you don't like this map don't play it. Or how you must change your thinking to fit into his world. Sorry, that's not how the world works.
This particular map is currently at 7.74, That is not a bad rating by any stretch. 36 people finished it, 23 people rated it. But of course those that finished it MUST have rated it at 10, and only those that didn't finish it could possibly scored it at a 1.
I don't like the PDS mechanic and maps that use that don't deserve a high rating IMHO. And we will go around and around on the fairness of the rating system. Because no one has ever answered me as to why it is unfair but the same person will stop eating food they don't like, stop reading a book that is not entertaining, stop watching a tv show or movie they are not enjoying and that is ok but here we MUST finish the map to rate or it is UNFAIR.

By my opinion rating "1" means that author created "NOTHING AT ALL"...
Food
I am talking about taste when prepared properly, If you eat something raw that is intended to be cooked that doesn't count. I love brownies, but flour, egg, sugar, milk and chocolate eaten separately and uncooked is not appetizing in the least so lets not be nonsensical. A food that is over salted is over salted, You can usually tell from 1 taste, you don't need to eat the whole dish.
Not sure where you are going with burn the author or place the film maker in prison. These seem a little heavy handed for the offense. I don't think anyone advocated for any mapmaker to be treated in such a manner.
A lot of times people don't put what they dislike down in comments, other times they are very frustrated and are overly aggressive when they do post. It is very easy to misunderstand. And when there is also a language barrier that creates even more confusion.
I use 1 and 10 most of the time because I have found that a lot of the times the score seems to be overly weighted in 1 direction. I have given maps 10's that everyone else is giving 1's just because I felt the 1's were not justified, If there was a more balanced system then I would a more balance score. When I give a map a 4 0r 7 a lot of times the score does't move. So I tend to give it 10 or 1 just to see a little movement.
I think that maybe you are over reacting to a "1". This is a game, just take it with a grain of salt, more times it isn't personal.

I tried that once, but fortunately had parents who provided some strong counseling and guidance about such behavior (behaviour). LOL!
If it is about the map, it's a fair comment. If it is about the specific rating for the map, it is a fair comment. If it is a discussion about the map rating system overall, it has no place in this board. If it is a personal comment directed at another player, it is going to get you placed on notice that you are stepping over the bounds.,

Solid map. Had a tough start of it, but once I got rolling with 3 PZ Titans, it was a multi-tasking island hop. Fun times and thank you for creating such interesting and varied gameplay.
