Just small experiment how will be if you have only one weapon. Contains 888 inside cw3 map's number (In some countries 888 more lucky than 777). #BravoVirgil #GoodLu
I wish spores didn't kill reactors in deep anti-creeper.
To deal with spores if you can't deflect or destroy them:
- Always have an extra reactor around. Just rebuild it whenever it is destroyed.
- Have enough other units around.
- Make it so that the AC depth is more than the spore payload.
About the experiment:
- Interesting idea.
- The digitalis was annoying on this map, since it restricted available spots so much. In 20/20 hindsight, it's no different than having to deal with the available land... and there's the strategic option to disable digi by killing all emitters. But maybe you want to add options to interrupt digitalis connections.
- I see difficulties constructing a challenge via external AC sources. If they are to be limited in the late game, they will be too little initially, if they are enough initially, the late game will be just a question of waiting, no strategy involved. Maybe each emitter could be combined with an AC spore tower, so if you kill the emitter you also kill the AC. Not sure about generation rate; if you have more creeper than AC per minute, the game will be on a timer, if you have more AC than creeper, it will be self-playing eventually; if they are the same, the player will have to juggle the distribution of creeper and AC so that he has enough AC just where he wants to do something (this could become a challenge when killing the last emitter, because the creeper will be concentrated and the AC will be distributed in patches). BTW evaporation will become relevant if creeper and AC are generated in equal amounts.
I took a slightly different approach to this map just to see if it could be done....
Try using only guppies. Trust me, it's fun ;D
No sprayers are needed to complete this map. But if you don't use them it'll take a while. ;)
Thanks for yet another cool map, Yum!

I assume you do allow yourself to use the Bertha?
Even with it, clearing that far corner is...problematic, without simply swamping the area with sprayers
Big pleasure that st00pid_n00b played my map. :D
Interesting that at the beginning of game if you build only very few (1-2) targets for AC-spores you can get "conversion" and Creeper spore attack :o

Nope. Don't need bertha at all. Just guppies. Maybe an occasional collector, but I just used guppies on this one and on the newest one too.
Not that it's the best way to do the map, and you may want to watch a TV show or organize your desk while you wait.

Yes! I understand. This is surely possible to win even without Sprayers!
Ha ha! Cool! Thanks! :D
Thanks to YOU for always making cool, different, and interesting maps! ;D

Very glad to get such comment. Thanks!
If new map don't have something new idea, small new trick or new enjoyable gameplay this map is not enjoyable and interesting for me.

Interestingly enough I had the same problem, But it was AC spores, Because of their payload they were actually turning the AC into C. But if you place enough collectors around the spores tend to land in singles, You then don't have AC turn into C . Also it is a good way to spread the spores around and get the AC into other areas.
Cheers
