This is a more difficult version of "Let it Rain!" where you will want to avoid any creep rain from ruining your day... This is NOT a sleeper map. #Spore #Rain-Maker #Runner #Pump #Sleeper-Beam #Sleeper-SporeTower Good luck!!
owch.
For me, taking the NW corner is impossible before the creep arrives, thus those pumps get flooded with creep, and I have to endure a creep rain every 45 seconds or so.
Definite owch.
P.S.
Is it not possible to make the rain show its affiliation before it lands?
It seems the drops, while falling, have the same appearance be they Creep or AC drops falling.
Same alert sound, same appearance, very hard to estimate where it will land, and currently the only way to know if it is friendly or not is to look at the rainmakers. And if two of them are in low percentages, which is the one that triggered?
P.P.S. some general advice please, from whomever.
If creep rain is inevitable, how do I defend my reactor farms from the rain?
Shields seem to not work, having the region lightly flooded in AC only slightly reduces the damage, and keeping a reaction force of firepower closeby is both expensive and not very effective.
The best I've managed is to intersperse the reactor farm with sprayer set to gather AC, and to suicide them when bombed to release even more. But this, too, is very expensive and rather heavy on the micromanagement?
Spoiler
So this is kinda cheating, but the random number generator backing where the rain falls is not deterministic from the start of the game. Very specifically, this means that if you save the map a few secs before the rain, you can reload and have the rain come down somewhere else. You may have to move some different units differently or deactivate/activate some beams to get a different rain fall location, but you can get a different one. So, if a drop lands in a horrible place, you can get another chance of another place. That said, it is likely at least one drop will land where you don't want it to. Having a few mortors and cannons dispersed throughout your base can help mitigate the impact. Hope that helps!

I remember trying this one months ago and it just didn't seem to click. Sometimes it helps to take a break and come back a few months later for another crack at it. ;)
This is a very cool map and a good high-level challenge. There's no "trick" to the map... just brute force and smart resource management.
I was hoping to let the map run until the AC rain had completely covered every inch of the map, but after going for about 40 minutes it would hit so deep that it would turn into creeper briefly which destroyed a few relays and collectors. It would be nice if there is a fix for that, but I won't stress about it.
Thanks for the map, Jason! Love the hard-core maps ya make! ;D ;D
