The author and title led me to think this would be rather more difficult than it is.

My advice would be:
"Almost ignore the Spores, make power, secure the eastern end of the middle, and then wait for the Forge to eventually build."

After that, it's just the irritation of a non-threat 2K Inhibitor.

Starting at bottom west AND middle East is quite easy.
Silly me did not think to use a PZ-relay to jump the gap.

Jason, I'm really liking your maps! They're a nice balance of difficult but playable and require a good bit of thinking to solve but (so far) nothing that makes you want to pull out your hair. Or someone else's hair.

For me, the bottleneck was probably how long it took me to get the Bertha. I probably spent too much time building up energy before beginning to attack.

And for all you fellow turtlers out there, I do not recommend trying to turtle the lower left. You really need to secure the middle island for the tech if for no other reason.

Yeah actually I've done several since this one and "really liking" is an understatement. I haven't come across one that I'd rate under an "8". You're style is definitely in my top 5 of favorite map-makers. Thanks so much for the thinking (and I'd imagine, testing) you do in making maps that are challenging but not frustrating.

I doubt I'll ever play most of the maps online (completed about 1500 so far), but it's really rare to come across maps that present this level of challenge without being absurdly difficult or having some hidden trick. I hope many others will come to appreciate them too! (...and maybe they'll stop giving you low ratings on the difficult ones, lol)  ;)
