I wanted some practice with CRPL, so I made a simple level with breeder instead of emitters. To win the level, destroy enough of the creeper that the breeder can't work (less than one deep in this level). I also put in a way to see exactly how much of the level is producing creeper and how much creeper you hhave left to kill.
Interesting idea. It has been done before, I just don't recall the map number. IN that instance, the map did not lag as badly as your do.
Edit. Really could have done with a few Forge upgrades.
I'm not sure if you did this for tactical reasons, but you do know that a Power Zone does not confer any advantages to an ore mine, right? As it is the player simply has to choose between making a weapon more potent or having Anti-creeper.
Also, I wasn't keeping an eye on the base and lost 26 game minutes (felt like an hour of play-time into the map. :(
Map lagged badly. not fun to play
I enjoyed it, but was really anticipating the anti-creeper breeding as well, and was a little disappointed when it didn't. That would be a great feature to mess around with.
After my 1st loss, I rethought thing, went back and restarted. By knowing a bit more, I managed to keep an energy surplus and expand much faster - probably not fast enough to get a high score, but ...
Anyway, the map still lags and it's really slow without any upgrades, etc. So I'm thinking I'll call a halt at this point. About 22 minutes game time and far less than the previous wall time. FPS is still around 17 or so. :(
