Interesting - The description of "volatile" bombers needs some clarification - they do in fact take quite a bit to shoot down with beams.  I think the unlimited range bombers at the start were too much, and the rest of the game was then going through the motions (i.e. If you get by the first 5-10 minutes then you beat the round and the rest is easy)

Ah well, the "volatile" part was meant to describe a reason for why they would fall down, instead of just exploding on impact. The health is up to the mapmaker, and can be determined by hovering over the pad or seeing the color of the glass dome on the bomber (darker spectrum colors - more health).
