easy fot the experenced hard fot the rookies.
Well, it wasn't easy (I needed 3 attempts to make it work out the way I wanted), but that's exactly how I like it!
OK, wow. Let's look at this. The mechanics are pretty easy to work out.
It takes 2:20 to obtain the Thor Tech and build one. You have to have Thor at 3:00 when the first spore wave strikes, so you have about 40 seconds to build a few more collectors.
Spore/emitter waves at 3:00 and 4:00 will wipe out either the connective string between the far emitter or near Odin City since Thor can protect either, but not both. So assuming you keep your connections to Odin City and the two near totems, you are then left with 18 seconds to build, one after the other, 3 or 4 collectors and fly in blasters to connect those collectors. Then the time to send the green packets to the far totem. All in 18 seconds? It is possible to build in the time between 3:00 and 4:00 the right number of blasters and perhaps even one or two speed packets, but I can't seem to make mine fly fast enough.
I liked this, took me 2 tries, but I can def do it faster than 8 min, that was bad on my part =(
Karsten, your analysis is pretty good!

See, that's what I'm not getting. I have the 2nd best time. Here is how I did it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEU-PE67XHs).
That's 50 seconds slower than your time. Now the only way that I can see how you can do that is if you started building the long line to the far totem after the 3:00 min wave. But then you'd have to have everything ready to go and without speed enhancement, I can't get there in the minute between waves.
/me shakes head
Yep, actually my Thor is finished at 2:59. ;) Before that I only build collectors, so I can keep building other stuff while Thor is being built. And that other stuff is blasters only. After the first wave I move Thor and the blasters into the walls and build collectors between them. A few seconds before 4:00, I fly Thor back to OC. At that moment my last collector was being built, but the blasters are able to hold so much creeper when it's a narrow space, so my last totem was charged after the second spore wave.
Well, clearly you are a master of several skills! :) I might try that if I can stomach playing that map again, I've now played it probably 20 times...
BTW, I timed Thor on a custom test map and it takes 2:13 to build a Thor if all else is in place.
Karsten75 Remember me "Dan" I tried and tried to even get close to your score on "Grab-n-run" And couldn't come close, It dos my hart good to know that even the master gets frustrated when he cant get the top score 8)
And when two masters have a conversation about one of my maps WOW I can now die a happy man ;D

The "masters" here are UpperKEES, Siccles, Alwego, Hi and a few others. I'm just a middling player.... but thanks! :)
This map has attracted much comment. I think the key is the realisation that there is time to build Thor: the message 'you may need to think about this' put me off, so I actually avoided building Thor for the first few tries. Mistake! However I did then linger too long in the jewellery shop, allowing time for the police to arrive, as it were!
PS Finally got under 6 mins, which I think is my limit. Good challenge.

Don't die yet! First make some more intriguing maps.... ;)
