Title: Reactors spoiled me
Post by: Karsten75 on December 31, 2009, 02:04:25 PM
I'm replaying the story line and I find some of the earlier maps *much* harder to play than I remember them through the fog of a 21-hour day. One map took 45 minutes(!) to win. All because I don't yet have reactors and cannot just load up on reactors as I did on the conquest series. SO I have to be much more careful of my energy management.

I do admit, reactors do spoil the game and you get so used to them. You do have to admit that it is funny when you try to build a reactor in the earlier parts of the campaign and find out you cant only to die by creeper a few minutes later due to lack of energy.  :P

I highly doubt reactors ruin the game. Personally I love income.

It does make it easier. However if your aiming for a good score/time which is considered end game, you need to strike a balance.

On other maps you wanna just destory the creeps as wave after wave come. Reactors help support that army for some real carnyge and enjoyment.
