The first of Nine Ships in the Sol Navy, the Merceri is the second smallest ship in the Fleet, its small size and small armament makes it unideal for frontal assaults, however what it lacks in size compared to other ships it makes up for in close range superiority with multiple close range lasers and particle beams. It's one of the only ships to be equiped with the invaluable "lathe" beam.
