Size: 24x13
Designer: Lyle

Desc:
A flying battery model. Designed to support the operations of large fleets, this ship should keep itself safe from moderate to severe threats. Its flight deck also allows it some useful participation in large operations, but its primary goal is to ensure friendly ships do not run out of resources.

Ship updated after playtesting.

-Removed: 1 energy tank, 1 guppy, 1 beam.
-Added: 3 reactors.

This should make the ship less energy ravenous.

Playtesting has also proven this ship to be buildable within a reasonable time span.  Which is better than expected.

Generally an assault requiring more than two tanks of energy will exhaust a third tank also.

Replacing two of those tanks with Guppies or Reactors still offers a significant reserve, but helps to maintain that reserve.

That is not incorrect sir/madam/apache helicopter.

Conversely, I was thinking of shrinking its design, removing side cannons, removing at least 1 tank, and swapping a piece for an extra reactor or something.

This ship is so damned big, it's hard to properly fit in between other ship formations, and that directly impacts its intended purpose.

The power-supplying capacity of Guppies (assuming that mines have the power) is 50 energy/(flight time + 50 frames (~1.66sec)).

The Reactor gives 1 energy/20 frames = 1.5 energy/sec. So if a round trip for the guppy takes under a half-minute, the guppy supplies more energy in the same time.

Of course, guppy efficiency drops when the mines the power.

Of course, it all depends on the map.
