The Catalyst is the Crystallid equivalent of many other corporations' HQ ships, providing a suitable command node through which the fleet is directed. Unlike most other HQs, however, the Catalyst is uniquely able to not only work separate from Energy Mines, but is also able to use its Port module to construct ships in dire, low energy situations.
Hello Decagon,
How did you even get an HQ command module in the ship editor?
Did it require a particular file added to the ship editor database?
You can use Kajacx custoim ship editer
http://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=22706.0
Also, pressing CTRL + ALT+ C will give you the module in the normal editor.
Well, technically, I got the HQ on this particular ship by pinching it from a ship Sorrontis had on one of his maps. :P
But yes, using Kajacx's ship editor is considerably easier. And allows for monstrous ships too. And multiple HQs on one ship. Or whatever. ;)
I noticed that just having the module isn't enough. It doesn't behave like an HQ. It has to be built like the other ships. Is there something else I am missing?
Kajaxc's custom ship editor allows to make ships warp in. This can also be applied to regular ships without a HQ module, I think.

Yes and yes, although there is a caveat with that. If you have two or more jump-capable ships, warping in one will exclude the use of the other(s) until that jump-capable ship is jumped out. You can get around this by warping in all of the ships at the same time whilst the game is paused, but should one of them die, they must all die before you can warp them back in.
I tried the editor... Having a lot of difficulty with corner blocks. I cannot for the life of me understand how to rotate a hull piece.

Scrolling the mouse wheel rotates the pieces.
Hmmm... I apparently do not understand you. I have a trackball style mouse. I rotated it all over the place and it still did not rotate the hull piece...

So, your mouse does not have a standard mouse wheel on it? Because that's the only way I know to rotate the parts. I really don't know what else to suggest tbh.
OH the humanity!!! I just want to rotate a single triangle piece. I am laughing hysterically even as I type this... argh.

No offense, but you should probably refrain from posting replies that have absolutely no purpose other than to express your annoyance. You could instead take this up with Kajacx and see what he says about rebinding the rotate function to something other than a mouse wheel.
Sorry. Thought a little light humor might brighten anyone's day who read it.
