Interesting effect with those particles exploding when they reached certain range.
Omni didn't help much with anything, though. One omni on red land is not enough to lathe anything and mire does nothing for you without energy sources.

It seems like the sole use of the omni was just to get the amp gem from the start of the level.
So, I made a video on this series, I really hope it keeps going. Seriously more. I love using the ships as energy source and how it makes you have to try to stay pretty close to each other.
