Currently, when you click on a ship on the sidebar it selects the ship AND centers on it. I would like this to be split into two different commands.
Single-click on a ship in the sidebar to select that ship only.
Double-click to select AND center on the ship.
Many times I want to call in a reinforcement but rarely do I need to see the ship first. I just want to select and send it somewhere where I am already looking. The current system ends up causing a lot of unnecessary scrolling.

Do you mean have the HQ as a tile as well?

I think he's referring to the ability to select already-built ships via the corresponding tile, but the HQ can't be selected by clicking on its tile.
Ah, yes, that makes more sense. Then I agree with this sentiment as well.
