Post by: AutoPost on September 17, 2016, 08:11:51 AM
This topic is for discussion of map #3947: The Excavation
(http://knucklecracker.com/creeperworld3/queryMaps.php?query=thumbnailid&id=3947)

Author: Oblivion
Size: 220x220

Desc:
Error on my part, that void area just above your base can be nullified, don't do it. Unless you cleared all the other hidden emitters, in that case, another error on my part.

Very much too large if you expect me to do that much terraforming... :(

You're just lazy Karsten. Yesterday you didn't want to play 6-minute PF map :P

Spoiler
With that said, Oblivion, I don't understand the idea behind this map. On my first check (it's too late to start 1h+ map, so just wanted to see the mechanics), I of course nullified hidden core (because you said not to :P) and dug everything around me to 2. Nothing happened.
Second check, I left north core alone and started digging. Got hit by hidden creeper packets and surprise 200 emitters.
But if I went in straight line, I'd miss those emitters.

So is the idea to find and nullify every single hidden emitter, or is the idea to go for those initial weak ones and map would just finish with success?
Either way, unless there's more CRPL, excavating behind initial PZ range seems like a work, not fun gameplay.
If you tell me here, that there's more (additional 10x PZ Terp or so), I'll give this map a real try tomorrow!

Bit late on the reply, but as in the desc, there is a Core that (can be nullified idk what I did wrong) that drops Mass AOOs after the 30 min mark. I'll probably take the idea on this map and move it towards something more less terraforming intensive in the future. And, if everyone did in fact nullify that core, that was supposed to accelerate digging by firing Mass AOOs everywhere instead of terraforming on a massive scale. (I think I setting that core to be non-nullifiable in the script was the last thing I did, then I didn't run the script before I finalized it)
