Creeper World 3: Zeta Sector My version of a CW3 Story mode. Planet Twenty-One: Hope
The story section of this series has been interesting, but the difficulty has been uninspiring. 30+/sec energy production given for free in the form of stacked reactors is usually an easy victory, given any significant time to build.
I appreciate the effort, but this series is not entertaining for much longer then the starting dialogue, because the missions are unchallenging.
This is merely my opinion, but if nobody gives feedback, then there is no knowing what to do to improve. (I have a different problem when making maps.)
Yeah I agree they are all very easy, although I would say that generally the quality has been improving over the series. Most of us on the forums are experienced players, I suspect newer players probably enjoy them a lot more. A map like this one for a newbie presents a challenge as there is a way to do it very fast and this is a great map to learn some tricks with AOOs. I thought Zeta and Cheston were both good maps.
Point taken. I thought, though, that CS unlocks only after a mission (Meso?) is won in Arc Eternal. Therefore, players already have a given level of skill.
I'm enjoying it on the whole, but I prefer to play to win at all, not to win fast. Maybe I'm just not the intended player type.
I would like to see a "Hard Mode" of these...
You want it? Cause right now I'm thinking of making another story that goes off of this, and (if you want it to be) may have some more challenges.
Meanwhile, what do you think of Terexin Nunix? He has to have more to him, considering he said that someone that looks a lot like Abraxis asked him to make the Thor. That seems like something worth looking into.
Spoiler
Good morning, Platius. (Skars, plus Arc time travel.) I am Terexin, a friend of the Imperator. Fortunately, the Arc you left here can get me to your world.
The story extension is good. I thought only to request a somewhat harder difficulty level.
This feels like a ripe field for well-placed CRPL traps. Perhaps you need to break into a fortress Terexin designed?
For what it's worth (and sorry it's so late), I agree with the previous comments. I'd like to see a more challenging series, but at the same time kudos to Shockblast for making a decent storyline! (And for spelling most of it correctly on top of that!)
And it's always nice to get the top score on a speedrun, even if it might only be for a few hours. Maybe this map is so old no one will see this and try to beat my score! 8)
Thanks for the series, Shockblast!
