Yes, there is. In my playthrough for posting it, I built loads of reactors. The fact that the speed of the packets being slow was all part of the challenge. Otherwise, I would have fixed it.

It's OK, but I wouldn't use that difficulty again. I agree about the power being fixed by Reactors.

I'm not talking about packet speed, but rather the ability of the CN to deliver power.  The CN fares very poorly at offering up more power than it can store.

I stumbled upon this series and the storyline is interesting...

If anyone's wanting to "shortcut" this map, here's an idea

You have AC and no threat to your island. And the actual emitters are super-weak compared to the slip-emitters, so just soak up about 5-6 sprayers full of AC and head with your CN over to an emitter, escorted by the sprayers. Skip the slip-emitters and save a lot of time.  ;)
