Not cool, earthlings. Not cool.
If you can't beat a map, just leave it alone. Downvoting is not the answer.

Question. Why did you give us one beam?

Don't worry about that mr gibu. ratings are useless. :) I take pride in my sub 6 ratings. It means I did something right! :o

For the sole purpose of misleading people.
Still seems like nobody's gotten a score yet... I guess it's even harder than I thought for other people.
Then again, the whole point of this map was to be very difficult and challenging. But it
is doable.

Yep, but it's
HARD. ;)
Something's wrong here.
No matter what I do the destruction ray blows my base to bits before I can do anything meaningful to the creeper.
Furthermore, looking at the scores shows a nearly hour-long time by the author--I can't imagine how that could be possible, you won't have any place left for a base long before that point is reached.

You might need a hint...
Spoiler
Notice the terps. Terp 9 height somewhere.

I take it that's immune? So what? The CN is going to be blown back into orbit pretty soon anyway.

That's as far as I got before I had this....
Here was my strategy:
Spoiler
1. land 2 CNs on the left close to the mainland
2. place lots of collectors
3. build 1-2 mortars
4. build 2 terps
5. build 1-3 blasters
6. break into middle, fly one CN onto landing pad (may take some damage, in fact on my winning attempt I had to send CN1 back to orbit and bring CN2 over to the landing pad)
7. MAKE VERY EFFICIENT USE OF SPACE
8. nullify mountain emitter
9. slog and terp the rest of your way through my lovingly handmade terrain.
10. make a post on the forums saying that it was easier than you thought at first and that you liked the dialogue. (optional)
I thought everyone was going to have an easy time with this once I made it easier so that I could beat it. Boy was I wrong. :o
Keep persevering! ;D

P.S. I just got the Industrial Nightmare achievement today, but it was more like a nightmare of LAG...
took 3 goes, was fun
Spoiler
I nul'd the emitter on the left pretty quickly, made it much easier
once you have a foot hold it's only a matter of time
It was easier than I thought at first and I liked the dialogue! ;)
Alter Olds' time makes my brain hurt :o
That was fun. Not hard, but I played it safe.. very safe :)

I know. I get the 6 min times, I might be able to get below 10. But under 3, that's insane. But then again, he's insane :P
Aye, true. He does for insanity what schizophrenia does for crazy.
Thanks to GameGibu for letting me try out the original map. Yanno, I bet Alter Old could've beaten it. But the original was insanely hard if not downright impossible for all us mortals. :P
Cool map!
took 3 tries before i figured out where to start, took an additional 3 tries to actually land there... still took well over 20 minutes.
your map is miserably hard, but the feeling after beating it is awesome :D
