The relics left behind during the medieval era are still valuable fortresses due to their high walls and strategic positioning amongst the landscape. On a world that the creeper has taken everything from in only two days, the last commander makes a stand in one of these ancient relics. Defend the position, and use the resource fields in between your castle to your advantage. You have limited resources and prototypes take much longer to build. With no upgrades, this is definately a challenge of skill

Not sure why you decided to build the largest possible map, include a Forge, but exclude any Totems/Aether.
The layout looks good for a nice battle, but trying to slog through all of this without any upgrades is going to be unnecessarily slow.
Thanks,
H

agreed... no upgrades doesn't make it a skill issue, just slows it all down.
no forge = no fun man, sorry.

There can be a lot of skill in using a forge effectively:
- deciding when to build the forge which takes energy that could be used to build more reactors or weapons which might be of more immediate use
- deciding which upgrades to make, especially if ether is limited.
- deciding how much to focus on getting totems vs other targets

If you think the forge makes some of the weapons overpowered, you can limit the forge's upgrades.

If there is no forge on a large map, my decision is simple - not to play.
