Creeper warfare at its worst. Good luck!
Great fight!
Thanks for putting it together.

Wow. Full on fight at the end.
I like a challenge so I managed to nullify all the emitters before finishing.
And, from being slow, I accidentally let the super spore towers start, man can they destroy everything you've built up, had to load a couple of times.

Thanks. I was thinking making it for 30 minutes, but I never could beat it by then. People have though

Thanks! New creation will be up by the end of the week
We have several ore mines but no sprayers, only bombers. I found no use at all for the bombers, the only place I even considered bombing was under anti-air. And why so many anti-air installations? The ones at the back with the death spores are invulnerable anyway.

honestly? it was a mistake. I forgot to put a tech artifact for them. as for the AE fields, for the heck of it :)
Concur. A few Sprayers would have been real handy.
:)
Next time.

You're not expected to survive them. You're expected to beat the map before they fire.

You're right, you see, next time is all about the sprayer.
Spoiler
It is certainly possible to survive the spore barrages at 1 hour, the trick is to have reactors and weapons here, there and everywhere, and then rebuild after each wave. And flooding with as much AC as possible certainly slows them down a bit.
My initial issue was I only had reactors at the back where I started and I ran out of energy when the first wave came and knocked them out.
I just realised my score isn't up there, had problems with my network when I went to submit, and was ready to stop the computer so didn't bother stuffing around with it.
Loved the map, keep it up.

Bingo! Although, it might be "technically" possible. You just gotta be really ready

Thanks! You survived to an hour mark?! That's awesome!
Heh!
I've re-played many games to see if I could lower my time, but this might be a good one to keep playing until those Final Protective Fires trigger.
It would be fun to see what it takes to survive that giant wave.

Lots and lots of beams.

If I remember correctly, I capped the beams at 5.
My doctor said it was ok for me to go back to playing some of Sorrontis' maps, so I did this one.
I decided to try a speedrun at this and try to get a decent time for once. Maybe even come close to Alter Old's time, who knows?
I realized after pausing the ba-hooey out of this map and not even getting under 8 minutes that Alter Old is indeed from another planet. Or from the future. Or possibly an AI sent here from another planet in the future to either wipe us out or save us all. I can see possibly shaving my time down into the 7-minute mark, but I have no idea how he got it under 4. Stinkin' impressive.
As for the map, forget trying to survive the spores. Just take them out. Grab all 3 of your CN's at the start and hit the weakest enemy emitters/towers/etc and use them for your benefit. My biggest bottleneck was trying to pick up all the doo-dads after killing the inhibitor. Maybe A.O. did that at the start, I dunno.
I can see how this map would be lots of fun. I should try playing it my normal way and see. Sorrontis, if you're still around my insurance company wants to get in touch with you about... um... maybe a tuxedo. All I know is they said something about a suit and needing to file it somewhere.
Thanks for the map! (I think) ;D
Oh, I love a good suit. I need a good tailor though, my shoulders are unusually broad.
