I send the loved it. That volcano effect was great. I don't see the point of the c/ac stripes though.
Well, that was more of an art thing than a gameplay thing.
In other news, I forgot to test the fake spores against shields. Sure enough, they didn't work. I doubt this will affect anyone's best score. I'll attach a fixed version of the relevant file for mapmakers.

Not sure whether I like it or not.
Plus 10 for a fresh idea.
Minus for having to juggle around those always-too-large sprayers to gain a foothold.
Minus for having to micro-adjust positions in the terrain - okay, it could have been MUCH worse, but it felt a bit like mud-wading.
Minus for making mortars less effective (if the area of effect has creeper just in three out of nine, mortar effectiveness is slashed to a third).
Minus for making shields useless - just for the record: you already noticed, which is good :-)
Maybe make the lanes a little bit leaky - say, let 10% of the stuff flow normally. Or maybe let just AC leak.
Not that I'm convinced about any of that.
Maybe make is leaky for a little while wherever a mortar hits. (Maybe stop leakiness as soon as the next shot goes off, to offset tech progress.)
Just tossing around ideas.
