I liked the way you laid this out and coordinated the different parts and pieces.
It could have been much smaller and provided the same amount of fun.

in this case i think the distance is needed, although a long thin map could get the effect.
my approach is a guppy provided forward base (still working on sealing off the runners as i type!) and a smaller map in all directions would make this much easier.

edit: done it, great map, get aggressive with those guppies and snipers.
a few more blasters would have helped, but moving them isn't too hard ;)
