Why is that sniper all the way over there?  The runners were no real issue for me anyway and the map was cleared before I got to the sniper tech.

Use one of your CN's to grab the Sniper at the start.
Without it, you're in for about an hour long battle against the Runners.

I didn't find the runners a big deal at all.  They stunned the nullifier a lot but it eventually charged.
