Desc:
A volcanic eruption is underway on Pompeii in the Italius System but i think their might be more to this 'eruption' than meets the eye. Witnesses have reported numerous projectiles coming from the volcano so we will have to be careful

It needs some weak emitters to prevent the preemptive strike that makes it too easy

I agree with the above.  It was quite easy to take an aggressive stance and claim a third of the mountain.  The map was so huge the emitters could have been
made much stronger as well.

I did a pre-emptive strike on the runner nests.  I then put those CNs just below where the digitalis tees with a lot of beams and a couple of mortars.

I built up power, then berthas, then some strafers.  I sent the strafers after the three unprotected emitters.  At this point the bertha fire was enough to keep the rim of the volcano clear, I could land guppies.

At no point did the cannons I spread for base defense ever fire, the creeper never got there.
