An ore mining operation has been attacked leaving the platform and the rig in pieces and infested with creeper along with the nearby asteroid. Rescue the 3 escape pods and beware the Spore Obelisk which will arm itself in about 45 minutes. #Spore #Runners #Digitalis #Progressive_Tech.
Great map, Nice long fight but remains entertaining throughout.
This is my first map. I got my time down to about 40 minutes. I know you forum members can do better! Any feedback would be appreciated.
Challenging.
The platform distances are greatly done, so you can't just relay over everywhere.
Even with PZ relay
Got quite a good start, though as looking through the techs which are on the map.
Is the relay supposed to be already gained? (Bug?)
As due that I managed to take out 3 top spores around 2:30 before the digitalis covers them.
Though at the end I though I'm kinda screwed as I fired the mass at the Bottom-Left creeper and destroyed the life pod (Poor survivors).
I think my time can be beaten, as I wasted lot of time on useless things.

The inclusion of the relay tech from the beginning is a mistake I made. It was not supposed to be available until the ring area was cleared enough to get it.
Epic.

Huh? Since when can you destroy those things? I was raining a ton of PZ-bertha fire on that emitter, the pod was fine.
Reasonably tough, interesting.
Why the relay tech out there, though? We start with it.
The relay tech was not supposed to be available until the player reached the pickup. Big mistake on my part. What can I say, it is my first map. And I don't know how to fix it.
I played this map and picked up all three life pods, but the map didn't end. Perhaps I retrieved them in an order that you didn't expect? The last one I got was the one at the bottom left of the map. Any clues?

Did you drop a CN on the bottom island so the pod actually gets picked up?
Also try checking the little scraggly islands for leftover creeper; I think that's a victory condition.
Couldn't finish the map, because the various techs and message pods wouldn't respond to being connected.
First message pod responded, relay tech responded, after that (I think), nothing would. The C/M/F pods did notice that I'd connected them.
Otherwise, nice map. Not sure what the point of all the stuff on the big island was for. The game was effectively over once I'd landed there - though probably I'm missing something :).
Did you connect them to a Command Node? Or only to Guppies?
Only guppies...
I didn't think that was necessary?
Ok thanks - that did it.
I'm sure I remember a map somewhere where you could collect message pods with guppies. Think it was in the demo levels.
Still, only having 5 berthas to work with made it a little more of a challenge :).
Pretty fun map.
Absolutely ruined any chance at a speed run as after clearing the massive spore island I flattened the whole thing then built every PZ bertha there I could. By the time I had finished there, the Berthas had already entirely cleared the bottom island which then just made it a matter of sending over a Command ship and ending it.
What spore obelisk? How in the world can I survive 99 phantoms firing? They will put creeper on my reactors and never have energy not to mention over 100 strength emitters everywhere and only 1 CN at the start, this might be as bad as tormented space - jovencoting, but then we have limited space and limited berthas with 190 and 165 emitters coming for us.
Very nice map. I enjoyed it a lot - the sense of progression was well-done, and the layout was unusual.
Not nearly so difficult as Jovencoting.
hbarudi, a rough guide:
Spoiler
1. Build Collectors.
2. Build three weapon units to hold off the Creeper.
3. Build a Reactor or two, then the first Beams.
4. More Reactors, Forge.
5. Beams as required.
6. Get to the relay - Terp a little, use Mortars. Forge helps. It's a standard assault, and you have time, space and energy to bring a fair bit of firepower to bear.
7. Get Guppy tech. Use Bertha support to take the area with the fields of Spores - it has a weak defence of 20-strength Emitters in a valley.
8. Plop down Reactors and Berthas on that platform. Work to the CN pickup, drop one in to the PZ-covered island to use the Reactors there to power every Bertha you are given (each on a PZ).
9. Clean up.

You're supposed to kill it before it fires.
