Um, did you forgot that Berthas can easily remove this fuse?
Another fuse-cutting technique: Drop two of your command nodes east of the easternmost air denial point. Nullify it, then drop a cannon there--a connection to your main base will provide enough power. Expand this beachhead until you can get close enough to nullify a nest. Drop a cannon there targeted on digitalis. You might even be able to reach it from the initial PZ but I didn't try that--holding against the creep without a PZ cannon would be hard at that point.
