How to start this one? 3 separated bases or a huge one?
Either way should work but i went with a single large base to start out with.

It must have been hell to get everything all symmetrical like that. Fun map, but a little too hard.

not symmetrical, the lower of the two right side totems is misaligned, ocd about things like that! :D
Dat totem :(
Here's a sure fire way of getting started:
Spoiler
Land at either pi/4, 3pi/4, 5pi/4, 7pi/4 (argh, I've just been teaching too much unit circle, that's 45, 135, 225 or 315 degrees in laymen's terms).
Quickly build about 6-10 collectors on both sides of the dividing line.
Build a sprayer as close as possible to the edge and dividing line, set it to always on.
Build an ore mine or two.
The sprayer will fill the area with AC which will be picked up by the spinning inlets and get amplified, giving you enough AC to protect your base.
About 8-10 beams will then need to be built.
Had a lot of fun, thanks for the map.
It's amazing how effective Berthas are here. I had 4, one on a PZ, when I took the first set of totems. I aimed them over at the next place I was going to attack to let them thin it out a bit while I built my forge and a few other things. By the time I was ready to deal with the next target the Berthas (plus the pressure from the pumps I already controlled) had done the job. I finished the map with Bertha fire alone.
