An idea I've had for a while. Progressively stonger emitters giving up PZ's. I'm curious how people handle this. Sorry to say it is a bit of a slog.
Spoiler
Once I killed the first batch of emitters I put weapons on a couple (building up to a line of 6 by the time I got near the top) and loaded those out of range of the creeper with reactors. (Probably had a third to half the side lined with reactors before I figured I didn't need more.)
I built two lines of collectors up the open ground as I cleared it. Then I'd hop a CN up to keep the packet time short.
I started building Berthas early on and ended up with quite a few. Concentrated all my bertha fire just in front of my line.
Was a bit lengthy, especially towards the end, was very slow moving.
Some improvements I could think of would be to keep everything the same, but have totems feeding the forge, this would speed it up at the end.
It's always nice to have an excuse to use a ton of Berthas.
I did it with the self-imposed challenge of only using them on autotarget, no pounding the front line. I can't reccommend it: it's way slower!
Not really my cup of tea. Managing all those Berthas by hand becomes a chore real fast. No upgrades to speed the game along makes it sloggy and slow.
i think the lack of totems is cool, the singularity would ruin this, but some aether in a resource pack would have been nice.
if i was doing this map, i'd prob go for around 150/200, that'd let us upgrade the energy store and output a little.
still i'm finding this map fun, and i'm going for a decent time so it'll get a few plays, i may not get a decent time though ::)

You can disable the singularity weapon in the editor, so that for maps where it would break the concept of the map, it's still possible to allow unit upgrades using a forge.
