Title: How exactly does digitalis work? It isn't working for me in the custom maps...
Post by: nebzero on November 19, 2013, 10:49:34 PM
I figure I am not understanding how it works. I place digitalis all fully connected in nice little veins (like i saw in the campaign) and put emitters both in and around it-- but it doesn't work for me. It doesn't turn blue when I test the map, the creep just ignores the digitalis. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

There are two possibilities that I can think of. Triple-check that the digitalis growth area touches the spot an emitter is sitting on, and that it is connected to the rest of the digi paths. I also noticed that if you set an emitter to emit 0 creeper, it won't spread digitalis at all. Likewise with Anti-Emitters. You should also make absolutely sure that the game timer is running during your tests.

Ensure that the digitalis is connected to the centre cell of the 3x3 grid that an emitter occupies. Just having the digitalis touch the emitter at the edge isn't enough.

It randomly started working... Perhaps I had a very tiny tiny sliver of the emitter not covered by digitalis.

Thanks!
