I'm having trouble installing on Mac OS X 10.5.8. After I run the zip file, I get the message "The application CW3 quit unexpectedly." Going to Library/Logs/Crashreporter and clicking the log, below is copy and paste:
Dyld Error Message:
Symbol not found: __NSConcreteGlobalBlock
Referenced from: /Users/mymacname/Downloads/CW3.app/Contents/MacOS/Creeper World 3
Expected in: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
I tried rebooting and giving it another shot, but no luck.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Did you unzip it first or did you try to run it directly from within the zip file?
I ran the unzip file. That resulted in a new CW3 icon. When I click the CW3 icon, the mac then returns the "quit unexpectedly" message. Thanks.
Wait. Is unarchiving the same thing as unzipping?
Is this the demo or the full version?
10.5.8... that's a little long in the tooth in Apple years.
The only reference I have seen to this error and Unity sums up with "use 10.6 and later". Now Unity claimed 10.5 support:

But, if it isn't working... it isn't working. Follow up with me at support@knucklecracker.com and I'll get you sorted out.
Per Virgil's instruction, I contacted him at support@. He suggested I bump up the mac OS.
I went to the Apple website and traded $20 for 10.6.3...
SUCCESS!!! I didn't even have to unzip the install file again.
We are all pleased for you. Hope you have many happy hours playing CW3 and also some other benefits from your upgraded OS.
