Are there any differences to the first two games in the trilogy purchase?
Is there a unified launcher or a single install file that makes it easier to keep track of everything?
If so I feel like it would be worth rebuying the first two in the trilogy...of nothing just to show my appreciation for his work on this game.

There should be no difference in the first two, provided you had the most recent updates already.
There is no unified launcher.

What do you mean two hours download? You need to look at your internet connection :-) I had it downloaded under a minute.
