Woohoo - my favourite trilogy brought back to life!

Trilogy in five parts. Gotta use the full name. Oh, wait There's a sixth part, now, isn't there?

Mmmmm. But the sixth was written after Douglas Adams died, by Eoin Colfer so I'm sticking to 5 parts even though Douglas Adams intended to write a sixth part...

I pulled out my old paperbacks when I saw this challenge.

I was interested to note that I bought the first three about thirty years ago, and they would be some of the first books I bought for myself..

Also interesting to note is the price of them - in the early '80's the first two cost (New Zealand Dollars) $3.95, then $4.95 for part 3, $7.95 for part 4 by the mid '80's and $16.95 in '92 when part 5 came out.

Books more than quadrupled in price in a decade. But Coke stayed the same price...

I got my start in the early '80's with HHG2G with the radio series (though it was several years old by that stage - we were a bit behind the times in NZ back then) - staying up late on a Friday night with my finger poised over the 'record' button as I waited for the broadcast to come on - we had two radio stations in my home town and they were both AM! No second chances there - you either recorded it or it was gone forever. No internet to download missed episodes and sure as hell no repeat broadcast...

As an early teen I always thought that Trillian had the sexiest voice, like ever.

The bimbo who played Trillian in the TV series was a major disappointment...

Lol. I did the exact same thing in the early 80s--taping the radio show.  Now I'm reading the second book to the kids and the voices from the radio show are still what I hear in my head.

To get the code for the regular high score table, you go to the export tab in the tournament scoring program, then check the boxes for "Bold Colors" and "Color Top 3", and then click the button for "Copy Detailed Results". Then the BBCode for the table should be on your clipboard so you can paste it into a message.

Here are the latest scores, and I'm going to bed now.  I managed to squeak past ctuna by replaying Trillian.  I've been really trying to master the experimental weapons.  Still working on it.  Should I end up winning, I've just done a tournament, so ctuna, go for creating the next one if you'd like.
