I'm laughing at myself for over thinking this one.   ::)

All you have to do is cap all of the emitters with blasters, and that's all you need to complete this one.  There is plenty of energy, especially when you don't have to worry about moving that much creeper out of the way.  Fill the entire top rows of emitters with as many blasters that you can fit and then shuttle out the spent ones as needed, never having to worry about it that much.

yes, I made exactly the same mistake, battled for ages, until my son suggested the same strategy that you mentioned. Then it was easy.
