The drones have a new trick up their sleeves. I had an idea I wanted to try out, so I created a simple map as my first map making attempt. I hope you all enjoy it.

Nice concept.  At first I found it a bit annoying not being able to close the micro rifts but then I realised it can also be used to land blasters close to the emmitters quickly and easily.

Oh, and I also tried to collect the AC and only got to about 25 ore for the whole time, must be one of the slowest emmitters around.

The idea behind the map was not being able to close the rifts...It was just a simple map to test the concept.  Thanks for the comments!

And just read the moderator comments on this map.  Thanks for the input.  I will probably make a beefed up version, like yum234 does with his maps.  His tricks and stuff actually inspired me to make this map, and I haven't seen anything from him in a while, so decided to play around.

And my goal was to totally hide the rifts, which is why there is an AC emitter sitting on one.  But no matter what I tried, best I could come up with was to sit a really expensive gem on top of each one.  I also tried sitting a really expensive tech item on top, but you could still see the rift underneath.

yeah gems are the most "covering" of the units, they also sometimes come out on top regardless when you stack them with other options.
good work on the mrifts trick, that is pretty original.
cheers dude
