Tutorial for My final Rain of fire map is with-in the capsule.
I had so much fun playing the top half. Excellent map with so many challenges and so many things to consider. One of the tactical issues I was trying to achieve was to not deplete my energy reserve during build-out - that way I'd be able to exceed the 60 packet limit in later stages. Then it became clear that there was not enough terrain to build massive energy banks. Unfortunate.
I was also able to regulate the time of opening the lower chamber. Getting that right was a separate challenge, all in itself. Again, most enjoyable.
Then the bottom chamber. What a disappointment - a total, repetitive slog. Sorry man, but you already made this a anti-creeper oriented map, would it have killed you to give us Conversion Bombs part way into that bottom chamber?
Other than that - an awesome map. You are fast becoming my favorite map maker.
Oh, and thanks for the props. Much appreciated.
Edit: OK, I played it again and I withdraw my complaint about the lack of conversion bombs. With the correct manipulation of the upper emitter, it isn't needed. I guess that's what you meant by the "easy" mode. :) Wait, maybe if we play on a harder mode, we could still get the CB once we're part-way into there, since by then the ultimate outcome will be decided. I'd really not want to tackle those last two emitters without anti-creeper.
I love this map! Usually I didn't like your maps but this is great! very hard and enjoy! congratulations!
