I finally have time to start up map making again now that summer has started! I will work hard to keep a balance of fun yet difficult maps; I know that some of the maps in this series were too easy while others too hard.  :)

If you want to reread the storyline but not replay the maps, I put all the dialogue in  This Topic (http://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=9179.msg61603#msg61603).

That was a great map!
The only problem was that I forgot the actual mission...might have to go back in there one more time.

Great map.  Simply could not resist the urge to kill all the creeper and emitters.  Was fairly challenging.  So happy you're making more maps again!

Very good map. Took me a few attempts to set up a stable base.

(after 30 tries):
Could someone please help to beat this map?
How do you folks start this one?

Thanks :)

It's a hard start. The way I did it was to move the LS to the top right then dig down.

Moving the LS to the top right is not easy. You need to do it a step at a time with a few blasters to fend of the drones. Set the blasters to 'fire at drones only' to avoid wasting energy.

You really need to get there before the phantoms start otherwise it is harder.

There may of course be a better way.

Save often and reload when it all goes wrong  ;D

This is how I did the start:

Using the 100 crystal energy that you start out with, I built three blasters.
Then I started working my way up, playing leap frog with my blasters (it may be beneficial to set your blasters so they only attack drones).
Then I had the ship wait until the blasters cleared enough room up top for the ship to fit.
And after that I went straight for the first gateway with the nullifier. The only speedbump you need to worry about is the single phantom.
Good luck; hope you can beat it! :)

Very nice map. I really enjoyed playing it, and I liked the fact that you had to keep focus on multiple areas at once, and the build space was well balanced with the difficulty of the map.

Just wanted to thank you for this map.  I've enjoyed the storyline so far.  Do you have any plans to continue it?

Just finished the series and had a ball playing it. A very impressive body of work (and LOTS of work on your part).

Just a thought, but when they come out of rift space in the next episode, they could be right in the middle of the strange new world(s) of CW3...
:)
