Desc:
a collision of creeper can only lead to a really big bang! can't it? seems to be you'll have to wait for the "experiment" to run it's course. ps the red crystal is just for points!

I enjoyed this map a lot. At the beginning of this map I had to stop, and picture just how to build and use my dark beam. It was quite a brain teaser. I just don't understand why those two crystals are there. :) I had to replay the map from a save just to grab them, and the only purpose was to increase my score...

Good map - I loved it too.

Though I'm blowed if I can see how you did it in 5 minutes!

I suspect the crystals are there to make you choose between a speedy finish or a high score - with a side order of sucking you into blowing a huge amount of energy that you can barely afford (certainly early on).

cheers dudes! ;D
nice to know its liked.
cave is right, the crystals are there to make a player choose between fast times or high scores, and as a limit on energy spend! if anyone was going to break my plan it was Fisherck!
i got the idea from a comment cavemaniac made on another authors map (kudos to the maniac!  ;) ) , can't remember which one though.
making the maps isn't the problem, being happy enough with them to post is the issue  ;)

Very enjoyable map

quite a novel method of throttling tech points, by having fully charged research units that cant get more energy. cunning!

The score and time for a map can be from different attempts. So, I could do a run through the map for time, and then another one for score and have the best of both runs show up. It just means I have to go through it a second time focusing on the score instead... But you succeeded in your goal :)

cheers fisher, i learn something new each day.
score and time are the best of each value not from one map, cool. this now means i have to replay quite a lot of maps to improve my times/scores... darn ;)
