In the map editor we can choose shapes in terrain and walls ,
It would be nice if we could choose circels too .
Even better if we could choose an bigger size of it ,
but thats not so important right now ,
but still an nice feature to be abel to do =)
I like it all. Like even bigger maps.
I already suggested that. In my thread "All Blaze's Ideas (Expect to see it grow)" (http://knucklecracker.com/forums/index.php?topic=992.0)
Circels woud be nice , i have big trubbel making them =P
A useful trick is to load a custom background image with circles and then follow the outline by hand. It takes a little more time of course, but it's better than nothing. Afterwards you replace the custom image again with one of the defaults.
I have tryed that , but i dont have the right image to follow .
The edges doesnt fit as i want to =P
( Place the image as i want to )
You can create such an image easily yourself with a program like MS Paint (included in Windows).

Here's an idea that might work for you. take a beer glass, wet the rim, press it on your screen where you want the circle, then fill it in. Afterward, wipe your screen clean - or lick it if it was beer... :P
He he K75's idea might work better for me =P
Unless i find the time to make the paint work for me ,
like how to set the "window" size an stuff =P

lol You're so funny...
Paint rules
Draw a circle in paint, rescale the picture to 70x48, then import as background, then each pixel will be the size of 1 square ingame..

Nice info about the rescale , THX =)
I have only used paint for copy and paste , so i need to learn more about how to use it =P
And 70x48 is and very good info about it =)

Aslong as the pic follows that size ratio, it will fit in the editor perfectly ;)
circles are quite easy to draw

circles are quite easy to draw
Riding a bicycle is easy
Flying a jet is quite easy
All these statements need qualification or an explanation of why they are true.

LOL, fail FOR
It's allways easyer whith a circel tool.
here you are spliffen to draw one u start with 2 on each side and 0 diagonal then 3/1 4/2 etc

Those are octagons. When I want circles, I use mathematics to build one.
since every block is square these are the best you can do
Not neccesarily. That's good for very small circles, but with large ones (I tend to use 20x20 or bigger) that starts to be very inaccurate.
Here I have 2 circles maded step by step:
That is exactly what I meant, thank you for providing a visual to make it clearer.

Can you make an circel guide for an bigger one ?
I really hope the next update of the mapeditor has this option .

They told you how: make a circle in paint or any other tool. Then use that as a custom image in the editor to draw the circle before you reset the background.
In htmc I use only circles and I use the img's I have posted as maps.
Step 1: draw middle
Step 2: draw a point straight right, left, above or under the middle
Step 3: count distance
Step 4: draw the other points straight right, left, above and under the middle whirh the same distances
Step 5: improvise the other things of the circle
Step 6: remove the middle
(1-5 are the steps to make a circle, X is other ground. If you remove 1 you have done step 6)
X 4 X X X X X X 1 3 3 3 3 3 3 2 X
X 5 X X X X X X X X X X X X X 5 X
X X 5 X X X X X X X X X X X 5 X X
X X 5 X X X X X X X X X X X 5 X X
X X X 5 X X X X X X X X X 5 X X X
X X X X 5 X X X X X X X 5 X X X X
X X X X X 5 5 X X X 5 5 X X X X X
X X X X X X X 5 4 5 X X X X X X X
This circles have a distance of 15 and 17.
Haha - boobies...
Ewww,gross
Nice circels , hope i manage them too =D
I just found out how to change the PAINT size to 70 x 48 ,
but the circels there is way to bad to make it look nice . =(
So if circels does'nt get implemented to the next mapeditor ,
i have to keep on struggeling to make these circels =P
( and follow jstudio's guide to make them circels )

I'm not sure what doesn't look nice about these circles, so I checked it out myself. These are the steps to follow:
1. Click Image -> Properties and select 70 by 48
2. Click View -> Zoom -> Custom and select 800%
3. Click Ellipse (bottom left icon), keep the SHIFT-key pressed (to create circles instead of ellipses) and drag the mouse
4. Use undo when you don't like it and repeat step 3
5. Save, preferably as .png image (better quality)
See attached result.
The circles looks very nice but there are small things that can be better.
Like what? ??? It's only the resolution that restricts you and this is determined by the 70 by 48 blocks of the map editor, so there's nothing you can do about it.
It´s just a small thing but I change it in the map editor.
E E
X X X X E E X X X X E E
X X X E X X X X E E X X
X X E X X X instead of X E X X X X
X E X X X X X E X X X X
E X X X X X E X X X X X
E X X X X X E X X X X X
E E
(I don´t set all X because it´s cost too much work)
It can be 700x480 too, or any multiple of 70x48 ;)
Not if you want every pixel of a circle to match a square in the map editor (where you have to follow the outlines by hand).
Thick circels are hard , and circels that doesnt get the right size look strange =P
For a thick circle you first draw a big circle (with filled centre) and then draw a smaller one on top of it (filled with the background color).
SPIFFEN has created a nice circle I see. (map: SPIFFEN's pac-man)
Thx , it's the same circel i made in my Tempel 9 map :
http://knucklecracker.com/creeperworld/mapcomments.php?id=1949&page=
Faster to use some circel i made before , than start over =P
good luck with more circels
