I've taken the entire center and am currently working to get that 9x9 square, which must be the next move. Having a terrible time and would kill for a bomber right about now...

Finished just under 3.5 hours. I am certain that some of the CW3 gods can get this under an hour. I may try myself later on now that I know exactly the path to take.

2 hours in... got the Center and the 4 squares to the right.

since 1 hour I'm throwing hundreds of blasters in all directions, without progress...
i can't get the guppys (need a terp for that)
can't get the forge without the terp either.

see that i could connect relays to the top, but there is to much creeper.
i also could connect to the little 3x3 island with an emitter on it. but i don't see how to clear that emitter. and then what? without the terp i don't see how to nullifie the next 4 emitters down there...

what am i missing here? it really is a pain...

Well, you're ahead of me.

So far...
I can get the unlimited-Beam tech immediately before the Spores hit, with some crystal energy left in stock and a second Nullifier building for the pair of Emitters However, this Nullifier is too slow, so what I assume is meant to be the fortress becomes a lake.

I'm not sure why I have a second CN (acquired with the Nullifier), and wonder if I'm supposed to be leaving the unlimited-Collector tech alone.

That's enough for the moment. This map has a very "twisty invisible tightrope" start.

You can't connect the 4 squares to the top without the terp tech.

You can't get the terp until you take the left side.

You can't get the forge until you get the terp.

The forge is "end game" only. This map is played entirely without the forge.

Your next step is

to take the 3x3 square. But you can't do that without ample mortars and sprayers. So your actual next step is to get those from the left hand side. Build wave after wave after wave after wave of blasters, sending them over to the left side until you have cleared enough space for you to fly over and build a quick collector to get those two techs. With those you can finally get down to the 3x3 square and then get the berthas.

go straight north and connect to the base using a PZ powered relay. That's a nice shortcut to get the terp.

Wow certainly is a tricky one! Manages to be tricky until the very end, great to have back and creating new challenges!

I am curious though, how do you test a map that takes you 5 hrs to complete? Do you test it or just design it, publish it and see if you can beat it?

I always play my maps many times because sometimes I dont realize that I am missing something, like tech or place to land with command, etc :D when I win my map too fast with easy way, then I go back to editor and make it harder :D My first step in creating new maps is to make some graphics and after that I create some path to win. But I make changes after lot of testing. I think that I am average player so sometimes I have to make it easier to win my map :D

Hey Guys,

need Help for start, where am i supposed to start ?
If i try to start in the middle i can get the 8 techs there but the 1500 emitters kill me shortly afterwards and i dont see any place on the map to start elsewhere ?

Here is a hint :)

Look to the left part of map. You can find place where you land with your command and where you can get nullifier and another command. Land with this second command for beam(..its hidden under spore tower). After these steps you can start in the middle and destroy 1500 emitter before it even start to work :)

Another option:

You have time to open by landing bottom left and collecting the nullifer and unlimited blaster tech. Then you move your CN to center. (Destroy and land again when the countdown expires.) You have just enough time to land and nullify the center emitters before they get you. This is the better opening because you can then build as many blasters as you want.

thx for the help :) btw Tamrin i enjoyed all your other maps so far and they were great :D

but this one is really hard :D i like it though but now i have some other problems :D

i get with 2nd command node the spore and unlimited blaster tech and kill the 1,5k emitters in center but then i can clear the 2 emitters with nullifier in PZ but the 80 emitter in space kills me shortly afterwards. I wasn't able to manage to kill the 2 emitters in center and then the 80 emitter, i just needed 3 seconds or so more before the creeper kills my nullifier...what am i doing wrong ? if i let the emitter live the creeper will kill me in future cause of energylack to hold against all the creeper coming in future from this emitter.

I don't think you can stay in center after destroying the 1500 emitters

I stayed in the centre and didn't take the bottom right emitter in space for quite a long time, it was a beast to take. For energy you need to spread North and North East and put all reactors on PZs. It is close for about the first 30-45 minutes! I took the islands to the right before I even appraoched it. I then had to surround it and get the units in just the right place, I also used the shields.

You can stay in center for the start and beat full center. Build nullifier as fast as possible between that two emitters and after you have to build next nullifier above bottom right emitter in space because he is so strong and use syphon for energy. There will be time to build more nullifiers in the corners which will make it more easier

Arrgh help once I get the beam and the nullifier and the cn and then go to the middle the fight there is impossible when the creeper keeps all my stuff unsupplied and I have no energy.

Over 10 restarts with no luck on this map need walkthrough to claim that middle island so that I can go battle the rest of them.

I had conquered the central island and the 4 square islands near it, and than i realized that when picking up the 1 beam in the lower left corner i didn't connect to the shield key next to it and can't progress after 3h of gameplay. :(

Hi Tamrin, all your maps are excelent, you are good maps maker. Maybe if you do them little harder...? This one i finished in 2.10 first game, i think its possible to do this map faster than 1.30. I try tomorrow, now i know what to do:-)
Who have problems with start:

the best is-pick 1 beam and cannon tech(land the command in lower left corner), when you build your collector and pick beam and cannon tech(when they START flying up, you already have them), pause the game, destroy the collector, build him some fields up(just  to connect nullifier tech), x1 speed game, wait when you have in your command 5 energy, then fly over the collector. You must have good timing, there is max 0.1-0-2 seconds of time reserve  before your 2.collector is destroyed by creepers. Tried now 3x, 3x successfull. Now you have all you need for good start. Return to orbit, wait 30s, land on the left side(middle zone), buil 1 collector left and nullifier between 2 amts-then build siphon, wait until he is built, then pause the game, build 4 more nullifiers( 2 on the left are connected to command), build collectors to pick all techs and connecting 2 nullifiers on the right side and build beam, run the game, when you use all 200 energy by siphon, pause the game, deactivate all, build the second siphon, run the game, wait until the siphon is built, pause the game, reactivate all, when is your 2. 200 energy gone, deactivate 2 nullifiers on the right side, after your 3 active nullifiers destroy creepers(4), reactivate your 2 last nullifiers and place beam to the left power zone right above command node. After you destroy last 2 creepers in the middle-middle zone(6 in total-i needed 2 minutes 22seconds), build 1 cannon. After your beam destroy all flying projectiles, move him to the save, to the power zone move cannon, and....voila, this can be your "save" start, the rest is to you:-) I hope that this little guide to the beginning help to players who have problem with start. And sorry for my english.
