Mission: Which is the 'best' country?

This is a mission to discover which code delivers the most fun map, based on country names, on large/high setting.

Thereby, we will find the 'best' country code.

The secondary objective is to post a high score for every country in the world - or find out if any are impossible.

Let me know here what countries you've completed and I'll add it to the list below - also feel free to discuss the attributes of the maps and decide if you want to nominate it as 'fun'.

You can use any legitimate country name and I will accept multiple variations - i.e. USA, U.S.A., United States of America.

Also, ethnic and international variations are welcome - i.e. The Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa (The Land of the Long White Cloud), while the French name is Nouvelle-Zélande. Please let me know in English what country your code pertains to so I can keep the list in order!

There are around 230 countries in the world - though the exact number is in dispute. Is Western Sahara a country or a disputed territory? Is Tibet a country or an autonomous region?

We'd better leave politics out of this, so if someone uses an outdated/unpopular/colonial term, please just accept it for what it is - a string of code used to generate a map. I wonder how long it'll take someone to wind up the Dutch community by referring to their homeland as 'Holland'?!

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes us to cover the world, and if there's a mad scramble to be the first to post a score against Djibouti..!

New Zealand

Well, what a surprise - I'm at the top of the list!

New Zealand was fun due to high strength emitters, zero gravity, strong drones and the availability of experimental weapons.

Fun map, recommended to anyone wanting to play with experimentals, but not looking for a drawn out slugfest.

Will suit chronic over-builders!

Djibouti completed.

Bit of a slugfest - the high gravity in an awkward direction made it a bit of a challenge though.

19 minutes. Sheesh!

I checked out the USA map and it's pretty boring. I also checked out "United States of America" and while it has 0-g, it is still a walk in the park.

You have to remember, for most United States citizens, a walk in the park is a lot to ask for. :P

Sure not me ;) Truly though a walk in the park is a night of no homework. Too bad I never have those.

Yep - we're gonna get a few of those. Probably quite a few!

However, The United States of America (note the 'The') provides a moderately more interesting map.

Didja check out New Zealand? I was stoked that my country/the first country I tried provided such a fun experience!

Afghanistan is another that isn't very hard. Somewhat time consuming due to the need to fight through one really large chamber, but you have unlimited time and lots of build space to prepare.

Kenya

Didn't look too hard, but it was difficult to gain a toe-hold.

In the end it took me an age 'cos I used up all my crystal energy and my weapons were starving.

Good map, but what a grind!

I started "West By God Virginia" and it was pretty interesting...then I realized that some of you might not consider it a separate country.

Canada is also quite unremarkable.

I dunno - you've got mountains, lakes, forests and mineral wealth...
