With 8 cannons, 3 particle beams, and a battery, the Phoenix Hawk is excellent at fighting particulate, clearing mire, and dealing with plasma, even when unsupported by mines or support vessels. In Battletech the Phoenix Hawk PXH-1 was designed as a medium recon mech, and due to excellent performance, was adopted as a command mech for recon elements before finally being adopted as a frontline fighter.
