8 missiles and a shield make the Trebuchet excellent at standing its ground and taking hits, if it has a solid energy supply. Trebuchets hold down the frontline, either on the defensive, or as a strike lance. In Battletech, the Trebuchet TBT-5N is a fire support platform, and one of the first designed to fight as part of a lance, rather than as a standalone.
