With 3 engines and no guppy, the Adept supports small fleet formations by acting as an oversized guppy itself, flitting back and forth between remote lances and allied mines to bring energy to any that need it. For active combat, 2 Adepts are reccomended to ensure constant power flow. In Battletech, and Adept is a junior officer or lower level offical in the ComStar, the company/religious order that impartially maintains interstellar communications, banking, mercenary contracting, and news.
