Hello, i bought this Game yesterday and i have to say it's amazing addictive.
But, as a Owner of a 24" 16:10 Monitor i wish cw had a widescreen resolution.
Sorry if this is discussed on another Topic, but i didn't find anything about it via Search yet.
Last but not least: Excuse my bad english please

That's a very wide monitor... And I don't see how creeper world would support that without stretching the game out of proportion... at the very least, you would be able to see less of a map at one time than normal, and that wouldn't be too helpful either.
I have a widescreen monitor too, and if nothing else insetad of seeing black, I would like it so that jsut past the normal edges of the map, is a vertical line of undiggable terrain, and then infinite random terrain (random as in varying build costs).

Or hyperdots with random speeds? Those are fun to watch. XD
Idk just SOMETHING eye pleasing instead of a dark void.
Maybe scare the user and have it lined with SUPER ULTRA MEGA TITAN emitters (over 9000 million)

I also use a widescreen monitor. I find it preferable to use windowed mode (after having played the entire campaign on the whole screen)
Virgil should at least let users use a parameter in the shortcut to run CW2 to allow for the use of stretching the screen to the sides.
I'm almost sure you would hate it, but go ahead if you want real full screen without black bars.

You could always have it just be zoomed in more, but that would require more scrolling, and mean you can't see as much of the screen at once. And no one wants that.
Windowed mode. There you go, now the outer-border is your desktop. :P

Look, he programmed the answer without a new release :D
But, no kidding, is it a wide screen game the topic starter requested?

No, this game is not wide screen. Stretching it sideways will cause some unpleasant image glitches.
I just keep it on optimal size. It runs faster too.

euh no stretching but twice the gameplay. twice the wide, twice the creeper.
Foxcave: can't be done without a rewrite of the game to support the extra space, optimization becomes a issue due to extra creeper squares.
But yeah, newer games should be 16:9. 4:3 has gone pretty old, but it's a nice "format" to develop for.

let me guess, virgil hard-coded the dimensions of the creeper array?
It's a variable, but i doubt it just scales without issue up to match a 16:9 aspect ratio ;)
