Is there a setting within the game that increases the game play speed?
I'm not talking about the 1X-4X settings on the basic screen display.
Yesterday the basic start (1X) is playing like 4X, and 4X is like warp speed.
Is anyone else seeing this or any suggestions for a fix?

Interesting.
Not sure what was going on, but a simple reboot stopped the problem.
My guess: You haven't closed CW3 for "a long time" - (something between 8 hours and 3 days)
It is a known bug that "unity loses it's rhythm"
Just restart cw3 and you should be fine again.

You remind me of one player who used CheatEngine to turn "4x" into "10x" speed. Tempting, if I wasn't using a starch-based operating system.
