Greetings from Redacted Space, Associates! :)
So far, we've been to 6 star systems, and the Particulate has been increasingly brutal to fight.  We've done well, though.  The Grabbers that someone has left behind for us have been fabulously helpful.  That last system was somewhat odd, though.  The ring of Particulate in the southwest corner of the map was a lot denser than it looked and resisted the benign Particulate streams from our Grabbers more than was expected.
Overall, as I say, we've done well.  We have some concerns with the software interface that was developed for ship control:
1. Our Operations Officer reports that the function to select multiple ships is somewhat counter-intuitive in its default settings.  We expect to use our Shift key to select multiple ships and only just recently worked out that the default is the Control key.  Thankfully, that's already customizable.
2.  When using box-select, if we try to select a group of omnis and there are ships anywhere in the box, the ships get selected but not the omnis.  That caught us by surprise.  We're not asking for that to be changed, but could there be a modifier to force selection of omnis only (if there's not already)?
After those first 6 systems, we took a brief visit to the Inception region...and very quickly backed out.  The Particulate is much harder to deal with there and will be a significant challenge.  That area will likely have to wait until we've mastered the star systems we're travelling through in search of the Origin.
Wish us luck, and may Odin be with us all.

From the desk of the CEO of Rising Star Technologies:

For the eyes of SteelwingCorp CEO et al.

Our observations concur. Inception will require more than mild experience to complete.

Shipyard interface has proved resistant to use, requesting that a Command Module be connected. There being no initial Command module, and no clear source, has led to difficulty. Modification of an existing ship plan while exploring editor space thereafter has met no such restriction. A single-purpose ship proved easy to create, the "Brick2" having thick armour, three Lathes, two engines and an energy tank. Construction cost of this specialist craft is estimated at slightly less than that of a Hammer and Tanker combined. Struc penetration to a depth of around fifty units head-on with no critical system damage is predicted. On-board energy reserves estimated to be sufficient for not less than two forward hull reconstructions following such ramming actions. The "Micro", consisting of a commanded engine, was estimated to be a sacrificial drone, with cost at less than 25% of the standard-model "Lathe". Estimates indicate that these plans are likely transferable to the ship editor, at no additional cost. This may solve the initial problem.

Requests for access to the House Abraxis and GalaCorp archives, seeking records on the phenomenon known as "PRPL", were summarily denied. Further investigation will be necessary.

Inception is the first set of maps, I completed - did 8 of them in 4-5h. Should I expect no resistance when I dive into exchange maps?

So exchange will have some more interesting flow of things and maybe force you to take different approaches.  You will probably get around to the same time through them maybe?  BUT people can already add new maps to the Exchange...so it may become bigger as time passes even from now.
