this thread got me thinking about map ownership and attribution.

if the uploaded maps took the map makers username from the game itself, rather than having a user fillable option, it would prevent this sort of thing.
it would also prevent the silly and rude names in the DMD maps too!
maybe an idea that is helpful for the community and won't be too hard to implement?

But that would require some kind of username authorization, no?
I'm not completely against the idea, but, I dont know.
The most likely implementation might be (and this is just spit-balling) that one may acquire a CiTG-type key and associate a specific user name with that key. To be pondered in the fullness of time.
