Oh wow, I completely missed this  ;D (Thanks for bumping this FOXX :P)

I'm hoping to back to PF soon, but i'm reluctant to make time related promises due to the last times i've been burned

To speedrun this,

send your lathing ships to the right side, you can avoid being attacked by the ships.

You may have to

warp in your Corporate HQ near the spawn points to shoot the spawned ships before they get their armor, which the HQ's cannons do very beautifully.

@ Map author: It should be easy to prevent this kind of speedrun in future maps, just look at the spoilers what I'm doing and you'll know where to place combat ships to prevent is :-)
